Namibia - Spitzkoppe

The mountainous area around Spitzkoppe, this iconic mountain with its German name, is worth a long detour. Red granite boulders lie in dramatic tumbles  with phantastic formations rising out of the flat dry plains only comparable with Uluru in Australia.

The secluded campsites are hidden from each other between those boulders

Spitzkoppen Lodge is equally picturesque.

with a grandiose view!
